I didn't even know those 2 literally IDENTICAL violets are 2 colours before game corrected all of them for me.
Please, differentiate those coulours, don't leave 2 practically identical

I swear I had them differentiated in my uploaded file, one was much bluer and the other much purpler. Not sure what happened.

Sorry for being so harsh (I left a comment earlier in the general discussion) I really appreciate your work as well as the pictures from all the authors (I wouldn't know where to start to make a nonogram). I just think that 10 colours are too many for a puzzle as a general rule, all the shading are very cool in the final picture, but I think these should be limited and there should be more contrast for a good puzzle. My 2 cents! Congrats for your hard work!
replyI liked it! Inventive. The violets were all different on my screen, but they were close.
replyThe colours are alike, not identical. The problem is with the monitor.
replyIn the old interface you could just select the color from the grid so you would always have the right one. I miss that feature, especially in puzzles with similar colors.

Hanna if you go to the tools button (top of the screen next to the x), then choose the first drop down menu and select "Classic with clicking number to choose color" will be just like the old interface.
replyUse this option: "A left click on the number chooses the colour"
Also notice the color of the number inside the colored square might be different for colors that are very similar.

@FaxCelestis: Beautiful picture, unfortunately I agree with the others that differentiate the colors was a pain. Apart from the 5 different shades of violets, I also was very annoyed by the almost white color and the very light blue. This is not a complain just to you, i feel that lot of authors forget that these should be first enjoyble puzzles, then pieces of art. Nonetheless congratulations because you are very good with pix arts!
replyVery well done! Though the shades of purple were similar, they were still easily differentiated for me. I love the picture!
replyThe different color purples make for great shading and my favorite pixel arts imo. And the purples were different enough for it not to be a pain. Don't listen to the haters. :P
replyI won't repeat about colors. Only mention how good that the puzzle is small size. Great image
replyCan someone please come up with a more effective way to discourage similar colors? Let me try: this stupid shading is totally overrated.
replyThe close colors make it very pretty!
Those who don't like close colors should look at the color choices, and then just move on if they don't like it. Take responsibility for your own self, and let others of us enjoy ourselves!
I'm sorry for those who don't have a decent monitor, but it really is your problem, not something you should gripe at the artist about.

I do see the result gains from the colour shades, but I kept picking the wrong colours and feel annoyed by it, this is not my cup of tea.
replyBeing colorblind, this one was a pain... But I love the outcome.
Also, I'm trying to do them all (the small ones from my phone, too), so not always easy, as for colors, but still fun.
Good job with the picture!

I enjoy the shading very much. When you click the number to choose the color it is very much easier!
replyLovely colour palette makes for a wonderful result. Thank you.
replyGreat! Would have been very hard if I hadn't just learned the clicking on the number to pick the colour trick, but if you do that, the similar colours are a joy instead of a pain :)

It IS all about the shading that produces such a spectacular result - and surely that is part of the challenge!
