Maybe I'm tired, but that was a lot trickier than I thought it would be, especially for an image this size! Well done!

tricky ending until you combine a bit of intuition with logic. I think logic alone isn't enough

If logic wouldn't be enough, LilianiN couldn't have submitted it.
But indeed, in the end I used intuition, not logic :)

I agree, I could't solve by logic the very end (upper part).

I used logic for the upper part. It is possible.

Actually if you look at the pattern when doing the top, isn't that logic?

I'm sure there's a purely logical algorithm for figuring the top part. But my brain just went "pssh, I'm sure it's this way, give it a try..."

I did it using logic but it was harder than previous puzzles.

Ok, I was convinced this wasn't doable with logic alone, but it is - it's just not doable with /counting/ logic. You have to use inference with what I call color logic. The bottom 2/3 was pretty straight forward, but the top part was tough! For anyone stuck, here's a hint I can offer: Use color logic with the top row, specifically the right-most gray spot. In a left-to-right reading, it has to come after all of the other top black spots, so... Color logic helps with the 2 black spots and 1 other gray spot on the top row as well, and once you have the top row, you can continue with counting logic. :)

Yes, the logic at the end involves multiple rows and columns at the same time. It takes a bit more mental strain than is needed for most puzzles here.
