Japanese crossword «Sudoku»

Easy nonogram, but I found the sudoku itself a fun puzzle to solve!

I love the fact that this can be solved twice!

as soon as you realize what it is, you can very easily start using previously-established patterns to fill in the rest. and it was a bit tedious needing to use gray, but i found it fun and interesting regardless of that

I love the idea, but it's a pity about the gray. I have tried to upload ones without gray, but they aren't actually solvable. I wish there were a happy medium where a limited use of gray (maybe) could keep it a solvable nonogram, but make it a difficult puzzle in both senses.
