Why is there no red? I thought DNA was red and blue, not just blue.

Things that are microscopic like that usually don't have a color (that can be picked up by electron microscopes, anyway). Any colors you might see in a textbook were probably chosen for clarity; it would be easier to distinguish red from blue, for example, than blue vs dark blue.

Hard to solve - but could not believe that it was supposed to be a DNA helix. Bad picture - but worth solving, due to the entertainment.
