If the artist had done glass slippers instead of red, we'd be complaining about the light color being to hard to work with. And I don't think Cinderella was blond in the story (could be wrong about that).She was blond in the Disney version, but that doesn't mean much.

I didn't know it was supposed to be Cinderella until I read the title. I thought it was a snake wrangler! hahahaha

In the original the slippers weren't *verre* (glass) but *vair* (squirrel fur). So maybe a red squirrel.
