The red part was easy, but I found it really difficult to start the yellow part. Nice puzzle :D

The only way I could solve the yellow and black border was by guessing/drawing. I know what the object is supposed to be.

Don't be tempted to fill in some squares cos you think you know what the pic should look like. It's a kind of cheating yourself.

Like others, I was stuck after the central rad and a bit of the left hand side. Then a bit of one-step-ahead thinking (that one can't be that colour, so that string can't go there) broke open the whole left hand side.
The top, bottom and then right hand side were just a matter of chipping away with the technique of cross-referencing to find the only place the single yellow or black could go.

No hints are needed, it is fairly tricky, but can be solved by logic.After completing the red squares, the yellow and black bits in the middle and bottom left are fairly straightforward, just takes a bit of patience.
