It is a tablet that fizzes when you drop it in water. It is used to treat heartburn, headache and upset stomach. An Urban Myth says if you feed these to sea gulls, they will explode.

I feel extremely lucky. I've never had any food stolen from me by seagulls. The closest I've come to having a seagull steal my food is my cat stealing my cheerios. She loves cheerios, but as she's a cat, she cannot have them.

And the best defence against these mini vultures is to picnic on spicy salami... they don't like it ... certainly shuts them up and they don't come back for seconds... Cruel but effective.
