Also would have been easier if I had left the entire background black, but I could not do that and have the puzzle accepted, because there would be very little to solve :)

They are pretty substantially different, numerically... so it may have to do with your device or viewing conditions in this case. The app also checks the colors to make sure they aren't too similar, and it passed that check.

This was quite a challenge, but worth the effort! A great image for a small puzzle! Awesome job!
replyDeciphering between the grays made the puzzle a bit more difficult The thumbnail looks really good. The puzzle image isn't too bad.
replyI was disappointed to see a colour nonogram in grayscale because I really love colour, but this was a great puzzle with an excellent picture in the end. No complaints now!
