The window doesn't make it a prison. I thought it was a guy sitting by a tree doing contemplations before I saw the title.

I saw it was prison before the title but I do agree it should have some other element like a orange prison suit!

Hahah that's very nice picture for such a small crossword! :D
replyVery nice for a 10x10 crossword! Easy to see what it is. :)
replyFor some reason I thought this was a dude playing soccer.
replyTrue artistry and talent at work here. Thank you PolNOvik.
replyOooh... I thought it was a young girl in a skirt climbing on a jungle-gym (the "legs" being more like stairs and the window being monkey bars; didn't register the blue "feet" at first). Tiny tweak to the bars on the window: remove the horizontal piece, and it might read cell a bit better; stereotypical prison bars are just vertical.

It's amazing how much aloneness and bleakness is communicated in such a small puzzle. This artist is incredibly talented!

creative. very expressive too. well done, especially for such a small grid. thanks :)
replyAmazing! I salute the author. So much is expressed in such little space.
replyYes, this would be one of the best small puzzles I’ve done so far.
replyAt first I thought he was just chillin'; then I thought it was too disheartened to be that; then I realized the window was barred. Fantastic job.
replyNice job PoIN0vik but the legs are a bit long haha
replyI get it! The prisoner is a kid who has been grounded and has to stay in his room. Great puzzle!

nice! did anyone else realize that Polnovik commented on here as Guest: PolNOvik! XD they have made many 10x10 puzzles using the same 4 colors
replyIncredible to be able to imply the feeling of dejection in 10 x 10 and 4 colours. Congratulations!
replygood idea, very eye-catching after so many ducks, chicks, turtles, Pokémon,...
replyI didn’t see it until I read the title, for such a small one it’s really detailed, great job!
