They taste fine. The problem is they damage your liver and other organs. Half a cap is typically enough to kill a person.

Of course there is. I looked it up. According to Wikipedia: "Death caps have been reported to taste pleasant." That makes them more dangerous. If they tasted bad, people would immediately spit them out without swallowing them. As for their "pleasant taste", two references were cited. So yes, it's possible to know that something doesn't taste bad without actually tasting it yourself.
