I saw no clue in the top ten lines of squares

The middle of columns 6-8 from the right can get you there...takes a bit of circling the wagons, so to speak.

I ended up using hints. :( Oh, well.

Was hard for me to get started and much circling of wagons. Found a way in eventually. :)

I started at the bottom and worked it up with no X's!

Good one, It is hard to figure out near the end, at the top. Keith has a good hint. Try placing the block of 4 down, it can only be in one of the two middle squares.
