For those who missed it, you can more easily work on color puzzles that have close colors (not this one!) by going to Settings and setting beta-testing to yes, then click the gear wheel above any color puzzle, then click Advanced Settings under Management, then for "Choosing color by a click on the number" choose "by right button click". You will then be able to change colors by right-clicking numbered colors, so you won't need to be able to tell the difference any more. This tip is thanks to TNG. There are many other features in the beta, but the only other one I have used is resizing the puzzle with the big +/- over the puzzle, which is nice except it forgets my preferred size on every puzzle. TNG warns that beta settings are forgotten if you log out, but I never log out, so I don't recommend it.

There is a list under my puzzle where I can tick what I want. I don't have to go to settings at all. i do not know what version I have.

Right. I do it this way. I tried the beta version and don't like it in some things. So I set the common version again.
Chorton, if you don't know which version you have, probably is the common one, to get the beta one you must choose it.

You must go to "settings" and dawn in the page there is a choose: "beta-testing of the new page of solving the crossword" you touch it (or click it) and choose "yes" or "no".

Thanks for the tip! I'll try that out. There's quite a few puzzles I don't attempt because the colours are too close (especially late in the day when my eyes are tired).
replyThanks to you and TNG for the tip! I found that for touch screen devices you can select “by holding”. This opens up a lot more puzzles for me that I would have otherwise avoided.

I chose by custom pressing, and it's the fastest way! Also, a good way to see what you're making beforehand, try the check boxes at the bottom of the main page! I was able to see what this one was, and also got to see so many more, like the Waluigi art i completed recently!

NEKO ASTUME!!! used to play this game all the time back in 2015!! actually started playing again last year, so nice to see it on here!
