Congratulations on your 1st pic. Great job! When you're ready, try changing the viewing angle so the pic isn't as symmetrical--makes it more of a challenge. You can also add more colors by using shading, too. And for the record, I could tell it was an orangutan, you did an excellent job! :) Keep 'em coming!

It's an orangutan, seems like my art needs some work to show it better though :P

I've never heard them referred to by their scientific name, which may be why this is being questioned. I think your art is fine -- not every puzzle has to have complicated shading and stuff! I do suggest you try to avoid symmetry, however. Mind you, I did get fooled by the eyes (hah!), which is good, but it's better to have more asymmetry for a bit more challenge.
replyyou're fine, i was just wondering in case it was some character from a game i didn't know about. i mostly make puzzles out of video game sprites, so i'm used to people not knowing the specific characters

I could tell that it was a monkey of some sort. It was a good first picture. I find that many square puzzles don't work as well as the ones that are a little different in height and width.
Good first puzzle! I like what you do with a small frame. Good, quick fun.

Great picture! I could tell halfway through what it was going to be, which made me very happy because I love orangutans.

Man I was stunned that this wasn't Totoro based off the colors. Still, definitely fun to make an orangutan, and nice to have an easy one every so often.

replyVery good for your first submission. I'm not sure what the title has to do with the image, unless it's just your username. I could tell what it was right away, though, so I didn't need a title to help me out.
