Japanese crossword «Doggie»

Interesting use of negative space. I didn't parse the picture at all until it all came together at the end. Kept asking myself, "What's THIS bit over here, and how does it relate to THAT bit over there?"

solved the black & pink first and loved staring at the cute face throughout solving the rest of the puzzle! Knew you were cleverly utilizing the negative space but was thinking it was going to be a polar bear...cute surprise ending! well done!
