He's currently being eaten. I don't think this fight is going very well for our heroes. In the game if you were to have defeated the Snagret at this point, the one in his mouth would survive, but it doesn't look good for them.

Love Pikmin, one of my favorite series and when I recognized the burrowing snagret I was so excited. Love it!
