had a dachshund just like this as a child ... Pepper was his name ... he was close to 14 years old when he passed away in his sleep ... he was a good friend ... miss him, even after 50+ years

Such a cutie! I'm a dog lover. My neighbor had a long-haired dachshund named Rainy. We used to care for her when our neighbor was away.
